Matthew 7:22   "Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in your name and in your name cast out devils and in your name done many wonderful works"

Matthew 7:23  "And then I will profess unto them, I never knew  you.  Depart from me you that work iniquity.

So what does Jesus the Lord say to these people that have them retort by saying:  but Lord, Lord - all we did, all we did,  look at all we did.  Jesus says something to them to the effect he is sending them away from him and they respond in shock and disbelief.  They do not even believe Jesus,  so how much less they will believe on earth when those who have the truth tell them that they are following a false christ, teaching a doctrine of a Pharisee who preaches lawlessness (Colossians 2:14)!   They won't believe, they will continue to think they are of God all the way up to the time when Jesus is before them telling them he does not know them.

Get that scene in Heaven here these people do not even believe Jesus when he says something to them to the effect they are to depart from him and their reaction is shock and disbelief that Jesus does not know them.  They put up an argument with Christ to say but Lord look at all we did, and Jesus says I never knew you depart.

Who could these people be that say Lord, Lord but those of the Gentile churches established by Pharisees.   They could be no other people.

1 John 4:6  "We are of God and he who knows God hears us and he that does not know God does not hear us ...."

The Gospel According to John is the doctrine of Jesus Christ that he laid out while in the flesh on the earth (Romans 15:8).  And that doctrine is termed a "gospel of circumcision" by Pharisee Paul (Galatians 2:7).  Pharisee Paul preaches the gospel of uncircumcision, a doctrine that is not the doctrine taught by apostle John.

So those who know God will heed John and throw out of their lives Pharisee Paul's gospel of uncircumcision and stop attending the Gentile churches which are founded on Pharisee doctrine.

2 John 1:10  "If there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine, do not welcome him into your home and do not wish him God's speed."

The doctrine John speaks of is that which is set forth in the Gospel According to John.

The doctrine of Pharisee Paul is not the doctrine taught by the true apostle of Jesus, John.  John would not welcome Pharisee Paul into his home for the evil Pharisee brings another doctrine that is not that of the minister of circumcision, Jesus Christ:

Romans 15:8   "... Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision ...."

The term "minister of circumcision" means follow God's commandments and that is what Jesus taught:

Matthew 5:17-20  "Think  not that I have come to do away with the Law or the prophets ... teach and do God's commandments ...."

While the evil Pharisee preaches a lie that Christ did do away with the Law of God:

Colossians 2:14  "Christ nailed the Law of God to the cross ...."

Again, 1 John 4:6, all who are of God will listen to John.

Those who are not of God will listen to Pharisee Paul and they shall be among those in Matthew 7:22 who the Lord says I never knew you!
