Below are two descriptions of God's law, first the Lord's description through David and second, Paul/Saul of Tarsus' description:

It is evil Paul who calls God's law a merciless law, but Christ does not say God's law is merciless (Matthew 12:7).

To understand why the delusion that covers much of this world when it comes to Paul, that so much of the world views Paul as a true apostle of Christ:

2 Corinthians 12:7   And lest I should be exalted above all measure ... Satan [buffeted] me lest I should be exalted above all measure

Matthew 4:8-10  ... [Satan showed Christ] all the kingdoms of the world ... [Satan said to Christ]  all of these things I will give to you if you fall down and worship me ....

Any Christian reading see something quite shocking in the above, that being that Satan aids Paul's Christianity but Satan tries to thrwart the will of the Father in Heaven by trying to tempt Christ to turn away from Christ's earthly mission for the Father?

Christ says the law is merciful:

Matthew 12:3-7   [Christ said]  have you not read what David did when he and the men with him were hunger?  He entered into the House of God and did eat the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat and not lawful for those with him to eat, but only for the priests? ... If you knew what this means, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless

Christ is not a liar, and where he says David and the men with him were guiltless in the eyes of God's law,  that means they did not break God's law.   Do not confuse guiltless with being forgiven for breaking God's law.   There was no forgiveness involved, but rather mercy over sacrifice which is not breaking God's law.  It is not unlawful under God's law to exercise mercy over sacrifice.    Therefore, God's law is merciful, and that is what Christ preaches.  The one greater than the Temple is the one to whom the Temple exists in worship of, and the Temple exists to worship God.

The Temple is not the object of worship, the Temple is in worship of God.  And within the Temple was the Ark of the Testimony and within the Ark was the five book of Moses (God's law).   The Temple, and everything therein is in WORSHIP OF GOD, not anything in the Temple is for God to worship.

God is a loving and merciful God and within his Temple and the Temple itself all of which God established to be utilized in worship of God is not anything that is not of God and where God is a God of love, and he is, then the Temple and all therein in worship of God conforms to the love of God.  God is above his Temple, the Temple is not above God.  And God is NOT divided within himself, he did not set up a Temple in worship of him that becomes an obstacle to God's will!   Since God is always the everlasting merciful God, then his Temple and all therein he set up to worship him cannot be anything that comes against the nature of God.   And what I state in the foregoing is just expounding upon what Christ says:  I WILL HAVE MERCY OVER SACRIFICE, David and his men were not breaking God's law, they were guiltless in eating the showbread that the law forbade them to eat, for God is Love and he did not establish a law that is contrary to him, and God is Love, and love is merciful and the law is merciful, as Christ says.

CHRIST IS THE LAMB OF GOD SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD (Rev. 13:8).  The merciful and all loving God prepared his mercy for mankind when he made the world, and nothing that the all loving and merciful God brought into the world to be used by his people in worship of him is contrary to the will of the Father from the beginning, mercy!    The law of God is merciful.  Listen to Pharisee Paul who says there is no mercy in God's law, and thereby call Christ a liar.

To believe in anti-Christ Pharisee Paul's lie that God's law is the letter that kills, is death written in stone, then one must believe God set up an impediment to his own will, a doctrine to be adopted by his people in worship of him, that would be contrary to his will, such that wanting to have mercy over sacrifice the object he set up in worship of him shall be an obstacle to carrying out his will to exercise mercy over sacrifice!  Only if one chooses to be a jerk by believing in Pharisee Paul's gospel wherein he claims God set up an obstacle to his own will (the law).

Pharisee Paul teaches Christ had to die to do away with that which Christ set up in worship of himself, calling that which God placed in worship of himself:  death, written in stone.  So God placed within his Temple set up to worship him death and killing?   So says the anti-Christ Pharisee Paul (2 Cor. 3:6-7).  But Christ does not say such a thing, he says it is and always has been from the foundation of the world, the Lamb of God slain to provide mercy and forgiveness for mankind, and the law God established is not contary to the will of God from the foundation of the world, mercy over sacrifice.

It is evil false apostle Paul who alleges the law prohibits mercy over sacrifice.

Chuck Baldwin is a Protestant church ruler and he has a grown son and with him he wrote a book "Romans 13, The True Meaning of Submission".  During an Infowars interview, Baldwin's son alleged that Christ deviated from God's law with respect to the incident with David and his men, recounted above, and with respect to the disciples of Christ picking and eating grain from a field on a Sabbath day.    See this link  to view video of the interview of Baldwin wherein he states Christ deviated from God's law, thereby calling Christ a lawbreaker:

Baldwin is like his master Pharisee Paul, they cannot understand that within the Lord's Temple set up to worship the Lord the merciful God did not set up anything that would thrwart mercy over judgment, if he did, then God is divided within himself and would not stand.  Baldwin is evil, he calls Christ a law breaker.  Baldwin says Christ deviated from the law, to deviate from is to turn away from, but Christ is not a hypocrite:

Matthew 28:19  ... whosoever shall teach and do [God's law] shall be called Great in the kingdom of God

If Christ deviated from the law, thereby breaking God's law, as Baldwin claims, then Christ is a hypocrite for telling people to teach and do all of God's law!    But Christ is not a hypocrite, he did not deviate from God's law in exercising mercy over sacrifice, for the law of God does not prohibit same.  Baldwin the blind child of Hell Pharisee Paul convert accuses Christ of breaking his own law relative to the showbread, and picking corn from a field on the Sabbath, where Christ says the ones who ate the showbread and picked the corn were guiltless.  And to break the law means one must repent for having broken God's law.

So there is evil Baldwin declaring Christ needed to repent for breaking his own law.  Baldwin and his pal Christian Paul converts just never hear God because they are not of God:

1.  God is not a man that he should lie (Numbers 23:19), which makes a lie out of Paul's Romans 11:30-32

2.  The Son of God is not a man that he need repent (Numbers 23:19).

The Son of God never broke his own law (devitated from the law).   The law is merciful (Matthew 12:7), there is no breaking of God's law where mercy is execised over sacrifice (Matthew 12:7).

The Christian Paul converts do not understand that mercy over judgment  under God's law is not a deviation from God's law but is embodied in God's law.  They do not hear Christ stating his law is merciful.  They do not hear the Lord who says his law is perfect and that it converts souls.   Instead, they hear anti-Christ Pharisee Paul who says the law brings death, no mercy in the law, it is the law of sin and death; death written in stone, the letter that kills (Romans 8:2, 2 Cor. 3:7, 3:6).

The evil false apostle Pharisee Paul says God's law is not merciful.  Christ says his law is merciful.

And while Christ brings mercy in reality, Paul bring mercy only in rhetoric, except as to himself.

Christ forgave the woman caught in adultery.   Mercy and law co-exist, they are not enemies. God is not divided within himself.  God did not set up his Temple and those things therein in worship of himself to thwart God's merciful nature!   If God set up a Temple and anything therein that thwart's his merciful nature, then God is divided within himself because he sets up an obstacle to himself.  But as Christ says there is no deviation from the law of God where mercy is exercised over sacrifice.   God did not want David and his men to suffer continued hunger pangs but said eat the bread of my Temple.  GOD IS LOVE, he does not want sacrifice.  He created mankind to enjoy life, not bring them hardships!

Micah 4:3-4  Every man shall have his own vine and his own fig and none shall make them afraid

Matthew 19:29   Everyone that has forsaken [for my name's sake] ... a wife ...  shall inherit a hundred fold and shall inherit everlasting life

Christ's gospel offers real mercy, real forgiveness and none of what Christ did or ever would do is contrary to the Temple he set up in worship of himself.  The Temple is in  worship of God,  the Temple is not the object of worship, nor anything within the Temple, and within God's Temple and the Temple itself all things God established are wholly in conformity with God's nature of being LOVE.  The Temple and all in there that God established is not contrary to love, for if any of it were contrary to love, then God is divided within himself FOR GOD IS LOVE and if God establishes anything in worship of himself that is not motivated out of LOVE, that is not LOVE,  then he is divided wthin himself and God would fall. But God is not divided within himself, nothing God established in worship of himself is contrary to himself, and GOD IS LOVE.

It is LOVE to avenge the evil done to the good people by the evil people (Rev. 18:20); and it is LOVE to avenge all the evil Satan and his angels did and God avenges the good people by sending al the evil of mankind and Satan and his angels to eternal punishment, all who end up there never would cease doing evil (Matthew 25:41, John 3:19).

Anti-Christ Pharisee Paul promises mercy and forgiveness to all who believe in no more law, grace, to all who believe Paul is a true apostle of Christ, but in practice he dishes out death:

1 Corinthians 5:1-5   ...  The man who did this deed is worthy of death ... Hand him over to Satan for Satan to kill his body in order that his spirit may be saved in the day of judgment

Once again, in Paul's narrative, Satan is a good guy, killing a Christian man in order that the man's spirit may be saved.  Just like when Satan kept Paul from being exalted above all measure so that the cause of Christendom would not be hindred.  But Satan did not afford that same hospitality to Christ that he did to Paul, as Satan tried to divert Christ from his mission for the Father.

Who shall judge and execute judgment upon the master of Christians:

Romans 7:19   I do not know how to do good.  I am a practitioner of evil

No where does Paul ever confess in his letters what are the evil deeds he practices.  The Christians are fine in being schooled in the way of alleged righteousness by a man who says he practices evil.

Romans 15:18   ... I shall make the Gentiles obedient in word and deed

The power of Paul's gospel is Satan, the Beast and the Spirit of Anti-Christ, and if God had not limited the power of the Beast-carried church in Roman to 25% of the world, this world would have long ago been totally conquered by the Beast's empire, which is the empire of the Pharisees over the Gentiles, the Roman Catholic church empire (Rev. 6:1-8).   See Anti-Christ Spirit in action at the tab:  Anti-Christ Spirit Action.

The Orthodox church, the Ethiopian church and the Protestant churches are the harlots, the Roman Catholic church is the woman carried by the Beast (Rev. 17:5).   The Beast is a mythological-appearing evil entity not of mankind. Mythological appearing creatures are in God's kingdom, and just before God's kingdom comes to earth, Satan's Beast is Satan's mythological-appearing creature that shall have all the world in wonder of him, and Satan gives his Beast "son" all of his power and authority in the world:

Ezekiel 1:5-8   ... four living creatures ... every one had four faces and every one had four wings ... they had the hands of a man under their wings ....

Ezekiel 1:10  ... the four had the face of a man and the face of a lion on the right, and the four had the face of an ox and the face of an eagle on the left

Now if the four living holy creatures above were presented to the world, the whole world would be in wonder of them.  There are unholy mythological-appearing creatures too, and the Beast is one of them and his physical appearance is described in Revelation Ch. 13.   The whole world will be in wonder of the Beast for the same reason that the whole world would be in wonder of the creatures that Ezekiel saw - they are mythological-appearing creatures.  The Beast is on earth now in spirit form, he carries the Pharisees' Roman Catholic church empire (Rev. 17:7), and he comes to earth in physical form as stated in Revelation 11:7).  And his physical time on earth, as the eighth pope king (Rev. 17:10-11), is only 42 months and in that time Gentile Christians with the Beast pope king shall be trashing Jerusalem:

Revelation 11:1-2   Measure the Temple and the altar and those who worship therein .. but without do not measure for it is given to the Gentiles and they shall trample the holy city for forty two months
